hart of dixie

i don't know if you're watching hart of dixie yet, but maybe you should.
i don't know if it's just because of my infatuation with rachel bilson, but i'm kind of obsessed. every time i watch it i just want to pick up and move to bluebell, alabama (can you tell that utah and i are having a hard time right now?). and even if you're not really into the show you can at least watch for the styling.

for example:
and these aren't even the best ones! she seriously always looks so good - hair, clothes, shoes, everything. jaime king's southern belle styling is pretty cute too, especially her makeup. and i think the show is pretty fun, just a light hearted show about a small town in alabama.... precious.

this isn't from the show, but here's another one for good measure.
dear rachel,

when i move to california this summer can we please be best friends? we can have bonfires on the beach, go to lunch, go shopping and do pretty much whatever the h we want. i think it sounds pretty great too. call me!

see ya soon,
paige

hallelujah

a new season of project runway starts tonight.

all is right in the world.

let's just get it out in the open.

i watch the bachelorette. yes it is retarded and lame, but i kind of love it. and ali is actually a really good bachelorette and this season has been way less skanky than all the ones before it.

anyway, with that said. why the crap does ali like frank so much? am i the only person that can see that he is totally gay? there isn't a thing about him that says heterosexual to me, even his crazy obsession with ali is pretty gay.

but seriously, i mean come on...

i guess this doesn't matter because based on the previews he won't be around much longer. and can i just say that i am totally in love with chris? i would choose him in a heartbeat. i like roberto a lot too though, so i'll be fine with either one.

i'd almost prefer ali choose roberto so i can go to cape cod and stalk, i mean find chris. and make him love me.

"see you in another life, brother"

i have been watching lost nonstop for the past month and i am pretty much obsessed. i just finished season three today. this show really has (almost) quite literally changed my life.

at first i was all into jack and his scruffiness but he kind of just bugs me now and i find myself loving sawyer more and more as the seasons progress, but ever since desmond entered the scene, i have just pretty much been in love with him. i can't quite put my finger on it. maybe it's because he kind of looks like Jesus. it's probably more so because of his glorious accent and i just can't resist a scotsman apparently. or maybe it's because he can't seem to button up his shirt all the way.

i happened upon this gem on google images:
nothing like a man's shirt unbuttoned all the way down to the belly button. ridiculous.

oh desmond. i love you.

oh michael.

remember how the character michael on lost is played by harold perrineau and how in pretty much all of season 2 he just says "they took my son" over and over and over and it got really annoying?

well, he also played the role of mercutio in the 1996 romeo + juliet. i was reminded of this the other night when it was on tv and i had a good laugh at this part.

on a side note: if you haven't seen this version of romeo and juliet, you need to. it is quite a good movie in my opinion.

what a shame

i give the office one more season, two tops. why do you ask?

flashback episodes are the demise of television series. last week's flashback episode proved just how far downhill this show has come and that the series is pretty much over. apparently the writers can't think of anything original anymore. i wish i was more upset about this...but i'm not.

things to look forward to

seeing as how i am at home sick (and i actually had somewhere to go today, can you believe it?) i am sitting here watching reruns of the o.c. and trying to stay positive by thinking of things that i have to look forward to this week/the near future...

1. today is wednesday = modern family is coming on tonight. i can't talk about this show enough, have you noticed?
2. season 7 of project runway premieres tomorrow night. this show is seriously the one of the best things to happen to me and the world of reality tv.
3. we are throwing party #4 on friday night...color me a party. color walls, people dressed head-to-toe in color, color songs, candy separated by color...it is pretty much going to be awesome.
4. sundance film festival starts next weekend. let the celebrity stalking begin.

what are you looking forward to?

who da manny?

one of my many favorite manny quotes:
"i gave her my heart and she gave me an old time picture of me as a sheriff." from the pilot, which may have been the funniest episode.

though all of them are quite hilarious so it is a little hard to decide which one really is the funniest.

don't forget to watch the new episode tomorrow night at 8:00 on abc.

oh sweet crap.

season 7 of project runway starts january 14th.

i think they are trying to make up for what felt like years and years between seasons 5 and 6. thank you project runway. thank you.

it's a christmas miracle.

i wish today was wednesday.

wanna know why?

because wednesday is the day that modern family comes on. if you haven't been watching this show, you're really missing out. it's time you started living your life by watching it. who knows? it just may change your life.

i love it for one reason and one reason only: pure hilarity.

watch this clip. now. you won't regret it.

now wasn't that hilarious? you're welcome. and that's not even the funniest clip out there.

wednesday night. 8:00. abc.

it finally happened

jim and pam are married. i am still a little bitter that it was pam and not me, but i guess it just wasn't in the cards.

what did you think of the episode? i thought the boat deal was really precious and romantic. other than that though, it kind of let me down. this whole season of the office is letting me down, much like the last half of season 5 did. i honestly don't think i laughed more than once the whole hour, if that. jim was really sweet, but i wish they would have showed a little more about pam loving jim and not just him having been in love with her forever.

how cute is this photo shoot from entertainment weekly? they look so beautiful. i want to do a picture like the one on the left when i get married. so precious.

you should be excited.

i know i am.

the season premier of the office and the series premier of community are coming on tonight. i can hardly contain my excitement.

as if i needed another reason to love project runway

who gasped and jumped for joy when they saw that rachel bilson was the guest judge on project runway last night? i know i did. can i just be her already?

Friday, August 21, 2009

look at what i found...

so i love the soup and joel mchale, so you can imagine my excitement when i found this website.

while i was perusing his website, i stumbled upon the synopsis for his new show. how did i not know about this? let's add community to my list of shows i am looking forward to. i read like 2 sentences about it and am already excited. with joel mchale, chevy chase and the arrested development directors...this show is destined for greatness.

why didn't i think of a tv show about community college? it's so obvious but not all at the same time. this show is going to be HI-larious.

season of newness

fall is my favorite season and it is fast approaching, i can't wait. everything feels new in the fall, new clothes, new people, new classes/jobs, and new television. my favorite aspect of fall is the new clothing, but i'm saving that post for another day. a close second is new seasons of tv. i feel like i have barely watched any tv all summer and i am highly anticipating some new good shows to watch. here is my list of television shows i am looking forward to this fall:

project runway. season premier is aug. 20 on lifetime, i'm not sure how i feel about that
the office, of course. season premier is sept. 17 on nbc
how i met your mother. season premier is sept. 21 on cbs
fringe. season premier is sept. 17 on fox. i just watched the first episode of this and it was so good, like a much less cheesy x-files
glee. season premier is sept. 9 on fox. watch the pilot here. this show looks precious.

what shows are you looking forward to?

Tuesday, June 23, 2009

dear jim halpert,

it is no secret that i love you and the office. but i need to tell you that i have been having an affair with arrested development.

i don't know what happened...i was on hulu one day and next thing i knew i had queued all of season one. i started watching it late at night and i really really liked it. to be fair, i did watch arrested development before you came along, but then you stole me away and the show got cancelled. it is pretty hard to resist - the writing is incredibly clever, michael cera is just so precious, and i am kind of developing crushes on jason bateman and will arnett. i hate to admit it, but i'm gonna have to agree with alex beazer...arrested development is funnier than the office. there, i said it.

i still love you with all my heart, but your writers just really didn't cut it this season. i am sorry, but unless some big changes are made i think the office has one more season left, two tops.

jim, regardless of what happens with your show, you will still be my ideal and i will love you forever.

love,
paige

can i say a little something...

...about the show privileged? has anyone ever watched this precious show? brooke records it every week and saves the episodes for me until i can make it up to her house to watch them, thanks brooke! it is just such a cute show. it is a little refreshing to watch a show with a good moral. we watched 4 episodes last night and i have to say i'm a little sad that i'm caught up because i don't have anymore to watch until a new one comes on. the main character megan, played by joanna garcia, is always styled so cute--head to toe. the premise of the show is that megan moves to palm beach, fl to tutor 2 heiresses. as opposed to most of the shows out there depicting the lives of rich teens (can we say gossip girl?) these girls face problems like how to let a boy know that they like them, someone stealing their tennis bracelet, or doing well on a test. it also shows the importance of family and sisterhood. i just think it is a precious little show and it makes me long for warm weather. it comes on tuesday nights on the cw, check it out!

oh you know, just a modeling gig

so, i was at work (i work at the shade store in american fork) on monday and was asked to go on good things utah to "model" some pieces from the fall line. after some consideration, i decided to accept the offer. a few months ago, i made a list of the necessities of my life/all the things i want to do, and be on tv was one of them and it's not everyday i get asked to go on tv, so how could i not accept? i got my sister, brooke, and one of my best friends, sarah, to go on the show with me. i was so sure that i would somehow ruin the show and embarrass myself in some horrible way, but it turned out better than expected. for those of you who do not live in ut, or know what good things utah is, it is a morning show here that comes on after regis and kelly. pretty much every stay-at-home mom in utah watches the show, so it was kind of scary. first i'm on good things utah, next thing you know i'll be on regis and kelly and be best friends with kelly ripa. i've got some big plans for myself.

you can watch it here (sorry it automatically plays every time my page comes up, i don't know how to fix it):
