hart of dixie

i don't know if you're watching hart of dixie yet, but maybe you should.
i don't know if it's just because of my infatuation with rachel bilson, but i'm kind of obsessed. every time i watch it i just want to pick up and move to bluebell, alabama (can you tell that utah and i are having a hard time right now?). and even if you're not really into the show you can at least watch for the styling.

for example:
and these aren't even the best ones! she seriously always looks so good - hair, clothes, shoes, everything. jaime king's southern belle styling is pretty cute too, especially her makeup. and i think the show is pretty fun, just a light hearted show about a small town in alabama.... precious.

this isn't from the show, but here's another one for good measure.
dear rachel,

when i move to california this summer can we please be best friends? we can have bonfires on the beach, go to lunch, go shopping and do pretty much whatever the h we want. i think it sounds pretty great too. call me!

see ya soon,
paige

call me crazy, but...

i think justin bieber needs to fire his stylist.
i have no problems with the biebs but i seriously thought this was a girl with a pixie haircut wearing a pink suit. don't you think his stylist should be a little more sensitive to that? like instead of accentuating his delicate, petite frame and pretty features they should maybe try to dress him like a man? a boy even?

or is that just me?

guess what.

i bought the cutest shoes ever yesterday.
and the 2nd best part (the 1st being their aesthetic appeal) is that i got them at the rack and they were such a good deal.

yes please.

i am in love with this dress by prada.
and since i will never be able to afford this dress, i thought maybe i would be able to find a dress like it closer to my price range, but oh wait. that's impossible. so what's a girl to do?

hold the phone. didn't i go to college for 4+ years for something? oh that's right. i majored in clothing construction (not orthodontic sales, surprisingly) and can make my own dress.

sometimes i wonder about myself.

i need them.

sometimes i hate j.crew for making me love them so much.

i can't even tell you how much i want these pants. and the shoes.
so comfortable looking and yet so chic somehow.

and my birthday is in 4 days.

i am convinced that this is one of the cutest weddings i have ever seen. just look at the groom's tie. perfection. you can see more photos from the wedding here.

"essentials"

refinery 29 did a style guide of six perfect outfits for fall. these were my three favorites.

sarah blogged about the perfect leather jacket a little while ago, and i think she was right. i need a leather jacket. i want a cute bomber/motorcyle-ish one. and i love the crew neck sweater. this outfit is so cute and totally easy to achieve with things you already have in your closet.

i just really love the jacket on the right and the tights. so precious.

very kate hudson in almost famous. i don't know that i would ever be able to pull off the fur vest, though i do think it is quite adorable. the dress is pretty much perfection: vintage, long sleeve, and hits at the knee.

what are you finding to be the essential pieces of your wardrobe this season?

could you do it?

would you wear overalls again? i loved wearing overalls when i was growing up and stopped wearing them in middle school when i became aware of the fact that i looked like a 7 year old. i just feel like they are for kids and awkward pregnant women, or men that live in trailer parks and don't wear shirts with them. according to style.com they are going to be big next spring, but i am not sure if i could do it.

this look from ralph lauren is actually pretty darn precious.

what do you think?

paris fashion week

a sampling of chanel's spring 2010 ready-to-wear...

all the pieces were super flirty, youthful and all the lace added a touch of delicacy. and don't you love how the ready-to-wear truly is read-to-wear? i would wear any of these ensembles in a heartbeat (with a few modesty adjustments of course). the barnyard theme is pretty much precious and somehow not tacky - kind of makes you want to go for a roll around in the hay (kidding). i love it.

via style.com (you can see a slide show of the rest of the show there too).

lusting

doesn't this ad make you realize how much you want/need some new outerwear?
nice work urban outfitters, you've made me want things i can't have yet again.
i want a new coat and this photo is quite creepy and cool.

what we've all been waiting for

finally a snuggie we can all be proud to wear.
i know the only thing holding you back was the lack of print and color choice.
wait no more! snuggies now come in a variety of prints and colors, for kids and dogs too!

done it again

j. crew has done it again. they put together a style guide for everyday of the week. click here to view it.

i am loving this ensemble, so cute in spite of the pearls. if only the skirt was just a little bit longer.

i wish i could live in j. crew.

daydreaming

sorry alex beazer. this post is completely about clothing, so you can just stop reading right now.

as i mentioned in my previous post, i am very excited for fall clothing. for the past month i have been compiling a list of fall essentials...

the jeans. these are my fall jeans, so cute right? i saw them on urban's website and just knew i had to have them and they were on sale, so martha and i promptly went over to buy them. and they are so cute. they are levi's and the color is "eyeliner." i have decided that i am going to be one of those people that tucks shirts into jeans this fall and how cute would this shirt be tucked into these jeans?
the answer to that question is very cute.

i really want some brown boots and aren't these fryes just divine? this could be me, how precious. oh wait, fryes are really expensive. but wouldn't they be a good investment? anyone want to invest in me wearing these boots around town?

fair isle sweaters. i really want one, they just look so precious and comfortable.

i am trying to stray from t-shirts everyday and i love how this top can be casual and effortless, but you can dress it up all at the same time. it's kind of the perfect shirt.

yes, i have an obsession with plaid. but how cute am i going to look walking around campus everyday in this little number? pretty darn cute until i see 50 other girls with the same jacket because i bought it at the nordstrom anniversary sale. fmfo (think about it for a minute, if you know me pretty well, you'll figure it out).

the sartorialist book is out now. i need to get this book and get outfit ideas so i can look oh so chic everyday.

since i am now an adult, living on my own, my mom doesn't take me school shopping for new clothes. i unfortunately have no money but really want new clothes. what's a girl to do? i would be willing to let you take me school shopping...pretty please? i'll make it worth your while...

what are the fall essentials you need for your wardrobe?

sad day in provo

mode boutique in provo is closing.

this is incredibly sad because mode was the best store in provo. they always have the cutest clothes and accessories. their clothes are kind of edgy and a slice of perfection. i got my bb dakota flannel plaid shirt there, it is pretty much the greatest thing to ever happen to me.

to commemorate the store closing they are of course having a sale, so scoot on over there and get what you can before they officially close on saturday. i love a good sale, so this is a little bittersweet. their address is 45 n. university avenue in provo. click here to see their blog.

i'll miss you mode!

steal

we all know that i can't pass up a bargain and kind of have a shopping addiction. well, with that said...i got an amazing deal yesterday. right now at shade they are having a little sale. i have had my eye on the scoop neck 3/4 in jade ever since it came out this spring but have just been waiting for it to go on sale. yesterday while i was at my internship (which coincidentally is at shade) i was perusing the website and saw that this little number is on sale for $4.99. since i can't pass up a deal i walked on over to the other side of the warehouse and purchased it. apparently there is an additional discount going on for everyone and it ended up being only $3.71. can you believe it? i think i'm going to need the white one now too. i can't wait to wear it with a pencil skirt...precious.
