my baby jack

my heart just died.  have you heard of the dog, pomsky?  it's pretty much the cutest dog on the planet.  it's a pomeranian/husky and it basically looks like a fluffy husky that stays puppy size forever!  look at these pictures, i'm dying.

i mean, are you kidding me?  is there anything more precious in this world?  i seriously want one so bad.  i just want to name it jack, be best friends, and cuddle forever.

hey! i moved!

okay guys, i get it.  none of you want to be my friend after my last post.  i'm sorry i told you i like a linkin park song.  whatever, it's fine. i don't need you to leave comments on all of my posts in order for me to feel validated or anything.

so... i moved out of my sister's basement and into a different basement!  yeah, i'm like super independent now.  i am very grateful to the milnes for putting me up for a year (yeah, a whole year, can you believe how ridiculous i am?). i mean, was.  how ridiculous i was. because obviously i'm not ridiculous anymore since i've stopped mooching. for the most part.

anyway.  do you want to see my new room?  i'm going to show you right now!  it's kind of adorable...

i got a taste of what it's like to be a single mom of three over the past 24 hours. church with this 11 month old is HARD. but at least he makes a super cute grandpa.

sometimes i worry that i'm turning into one of those blogger moms that only talks about their children. and these kids aren't even mine. but seriously... they are just too adorable to keep to myself.

so i am dog/house sitting right now and have been since last friday. i just am not an animal lover. i think that these dogs are cute, but i just don't have it in me to hold and touch dogs all day. i can't handle the hair. oh the hair, it is driving me crazy. i took them on a walk on saturday though, that was nice, right?

treats 'n snoozin. but seriously, that's all they do.

*i just want everyone to know that i would never hurt or be mean to an animal. i just don't really want to touch them or sleep with them. but i will if i have to!

my new glasses came in the mail today! i ordered them from eyefly.com and i am in love with them! i suppose one could say that they are hipster glasses, but they do indeed have a prescription so i don't think that counts. i ordered them in eggplant too and they are coming tomorrow. merry early christmas to me!

well, guess what guys. i wrapped those puppies all by myself. today. i used to work at this place called scrappy notes (with my girl darcy) in high school and my entire job was to tie bows. so as you can see, i got pretty awesome at it.

this season of christmas

the christmas season was not intended for getting up and going to work everyday.

i actually have that opinion about all seasons, but this post is about christmas.

i am supposed to be in colorado. i am supposed to be shopping, baking, and decorating with my mother. i haven't spent an entire christmas season at home in over six years and i find this to be very upsetting.

so i watched this video at work the other day (don't tell anyone that i surf the internet or blog while i'm at work like i'm doing right now...) and i may have gotten a little teary-eyed. or had tears streaming down my face while sitting in my cubicle hoping that no one would walk by..... ?

everyone just keeps asking and asking me to put up pictures of bond. all right, all right, i'll put them up.

that was actually all a lie. no one has done anything of the sort, but i know that everyone is secretly wanting to see bond's gloriously chubby cheeks. and hands. and tummy. and thighs. oh and his luscious hair too.

picnic

so we had a picnic with sandwiches from sensuous the other day. i finally got to use the picnic basket that i purchased three months ago...i had high hopes for my summer.

i decided to break out this precious quilt that i made a few weeks ago for the occasion...

precious, right? i told everyone that if they got food on my quilt i would cry and/or murder them. it was kind of a tense meal.

'tis the season

i am thankful today is wednesday, as is evident in the post below. seriously though, watch modern family tonight. i'm even going to invite you to my apartment to watch it. consider yourself invited. (but if you're really going to come, text me and give me some notice.)

i am thankful for my almost-nine-year-old niece's cell phone because i get to have conversations via text like this one:

how 'bout a fourth? sounds good to me. i am thankful that i had my cooking class tonight so i don't have to worry about eating tonight and we all know that is a big burden for college students. oh, i wish i was kidding right now.

last night my friend mark showed me this website and i kind of love it. mylifeisaverage.com is kind of like fmylife.com, but a little cleaner and more uplifting.

Today, I brought up my winter clothes from the basement. I pulled out a pair of purple jeans and put them on. In the left pocket, I found a note that said, "In a year, when you're broke, you will thank me for this.Try your other pocket." In the right pocket, I found a $5 dollar bill. This brings my total number of owned dollars to 5. Thank you, pants of wisdom. MLIA.

Today, I found out that my boyfriend had his mom sign a note for him to get out of swimming due to his period. The note is now hanging in the p.e teacher's office for best excuse. Eddie, I will marry you. MLIA.

Today, I encountered a homeless man sitting in a chair on the sidewalk. He held a sign that read "Give me money or I'll kick you in the face." I was slightly alarmed until I realized that his chair was actually a wheelchair and both of his legs were amputated at the knee. He got all of my spare cash and a high five. MLIA

Today, I heard my dad gossiping to my aunt quite loudly saying that he bought me a Tiffany's necklace for my birthday and it was hidden in his top drawer. When I got home I ran to his room and slid open the drawer. Right on top of his socks was a note that read "Just kidding. I taught you not to eavesdrop." MLIA

Today, I slept for 12 hours into the afternoon. When I asked my mother why she hadn't checked on me sooner, she replied, "I figured that if you had died in your sleep, there was nothing I could do about it." Thanks, Mom. MLIA

Today, I was shopping at the mall when I had to use the elevator. There was also a young boy and his mom in there. The little boy looked his mom in the eye and said in a serious voice, "If you don't buy me ice cream, I'm never gonna give you grandchildren." MLIA

on another precious note...i babysat a & g on saturday night and as if it were possible, i think they've gotten even cuter. afton has apparently picked up an english accent on the word "nooo." i had the privilege of hearing it a lot at bedtime. oh five-year-olds.
