the latest in the life of pudge

i went home to colorado last weekend for nash's graduation. i got to see my babies and spend time with the family. there were some awesome rain and thunderstorms. i loved every second of it.

since i basically live out of my car during the day, i always look at those signs on the side of the road/freeway that have the temperature on them, they are my saving grace since the '98 honda civic dx doesn't give me that information and for some reason i am obsessed with knowing the temperature. question: why would you display the temperature in celsius in america. is it just me that is annoyed by this useless information?

my friend mickelle has some glorious stuff on her blog, check it out.  seriously though, this will blow your mind.

please tell me you have seen hot rod. if you haven't please do. i promise you will not regret it, seriously the funniest movie ever.

so i've kind of gotten into the nba finals and am falling in love with the nuggets. i really hope they can pull it out tonight and i'm pretty sure pau gasol is incredibly unattractive. i would really appreciate it if he didn't get anymore playing time, thanks.

now i'm off to hyrum for grandma coralie's bbq birthday party. have a good weekend!

twenty-two

my birthday was on thursday (the 14th) and i turned the ripe old age of twenty-two.  that morning afton told me "wow, you're really starting to get old paige."  and indeed i am.  i had a great time celebrating with my family and friends for three glorious days.  yes, three days - the only way to do it.  the festivities went as follows...

day #1 of celebration:
-brooke decorated my car and the drive-way
-went to work and they decorated my desk and made me chocolate-strawberry paninis
-ate lunch at tucano's with lindsey
-opened my presents at home
-went to afton's soccer game
-went to dinner (where we stared at the gabriel macht-like waiter in the section next to us) and then shopping with brooke

day #2 of celebration:
-slumber party with brooke, andrea, lindsey and jen
-pizza + cake + presents + disturbia + twilight board game = best slumber party any thirteen (i mean twenty-two) year old has ever experienced

day #3 of celebration:
-woke up from the slumber party at 8:00 since none of us can sleep in anymore (except lindsey)
-german pancakes for breakfast
-went to afton's soccer game
-spent two glorious hours at the pool

thank you to everyone who made this a wonderful birthday!  twenty-two is looking pretty good.

our balls are in your court.

i'll admit it, the office hasn't been all that spectacular lately. the episode a couple weeks ago called "broke" was actually quite hilarious. especially the second time around. michael gave us some precious quotes, for instance...

Our balls are in your court.

I don't care if Ryan murdered his entire family. He is like a son to me.

Michael: Did I ever tell you about the day that Steve Martin died?
Pam:
Steve Martin's not dead, Michael.
Michael:
I know. But I always thought that the day that he died would be the worst day of my life. I was wrong. It's this.

thank you michael scott for bringing your sweet innocence into our lives.

if you did not have the pleasure of watching this episode or just want to watch it again and again, click here. the next episode, "casual friday" wasn't too shabby either, though meredith's outfit was quite traumatizing...

you know what brigham young university?

i am a little upset with you.

next time you decide to close an entire y lot (especially the y lot i park in everyday) could you give me a little notice? so i don't have to search for another y lot and park even farther away from my building and be late for work, since i work for you? i would really appreciate it.

i would also really appreciate it if you built a parking garage for students. i know the concept of doing something for students instead of faculty and alumni is mind blowing, but i think we would all benefit from it. thanks.

i don't know if you know this

...but i am kind of an amazing bargain shopper.

the happiest place on earth is the one spot at target (not disneyland) because everything is only $1 or sometimes $2.50 (the really good stuff).  pretty much every non-clothing item i have is from the one spot at target and i'm not even exaggerating.

i meandered into old navy today looking for flip flops and found myself in front of a $3.99 rack, so i indulged and found the cutest dress for $1.99.  no, you didn't read that wrong, only one dollar and ninety nine cents for a dress.  i was pretty proud of myself.

speaking of deals, brooke and i went on the greatest date ever on friday night.  we got pedicures, went to nordstrom rack and then saw a movie.  we found some of the most amazing deals - i got a skirt and the most precious harajuku lovers hoodie all for only $30.

my mom once told me that all my money is spent $10 at a time, she is right and i have no money to prove it.  it's kind of a problem.

and here's another thing you probably didn't know...i am going to be 22 in 9 days!
