season 7 of project runway starts january 14th.

i think they are trying to make up for what felt like years and years between seasons 5 and 6. thank you project runway. thank you.

it's a christmas miracle.

89. Discover the secret ghost town feel to Olmstead--the neighborhood at the mouth of Provo Canyon (North Canyon Hills Road).

91. Golf at Riverside Country Club.

95. Stroll down Lover's Lane with your lover, or roommate. (who knew provo had a lover's lane other than squaw peak?)

97. Take a friend fishing at Footprinters Park.

74. Observe your experience while shopping at Reams on West Center street. (that store is terrifying)

73. Volunteer at Provo's Food and Care Coalition.

76. Compare your shopping experience at Reams with your shopping experience at Allen's on 3rd South.

79. Walk on a frozen Utah Lake in the dead of winter.

58. Spend a night at the Hines Mansion Bed & Breakfast.

32. Buy a bouquet of flowers at the Flower Basket.

33. Order a hot plate of fries at Stan's, repeat if you must. (is that place actually good? i wondered that a lot back in my king henry days.)

4. Eat fish and chips at Ripples, wash down with a limeade--the world's best limeade, to add

6. Tour the Provo Library.

19. Drive to the airport road loop. Stop to see cranes, pelicans and geese. Also watch the planes fly over.

20. Roll down the hills with your body or slide on a sled (depending on the season) at Rock Canyon park. (Ice blocks work too--if you don't mind wet bum.)

i just found the greatest website.

in case you didn't already know, i am an eighth jewish. the jewishness in our family comes from latvia, which used to be part of russia which means that i am a russian jew and maybe, just maybe fiddler on the roof is about my family. okay that may be a bit of a stretch, but i am very proud of my jewish heritage. you know those "everyone loves a _____ girl" shirts? well, one time we were in urban outfitters and they had one that said "everyone loves a jewish girl" and my mom wouldn't buy it for me with the reason that i am "not" jewish. sure mom, sure.

in honor of my jewishness, i have been saying for years that i want to learn yiddish and have never really done anything about it. except for saying "mazel tov" in awkward situations. well, today is the day that everything changes.

i found a website that has a yiddish dictionary! and this other website translates phrases/words into yiddish! so don't be surprised when you see me and i say things like:

vos vet zein, vet zein! = what will be, will be!
quit being such a meshugeneh. = quite being such a crazy person.
vooden = what do you expect?/of course/what else?
gloib mir = believe me
ugghhh, this is a kappora = ugghhh, this is a catastrophe.
i am fachadick = i am very confused
a klog is mir = woe is me
that's hockin me a chinick = that's extremely annoying.

the rumors are true

the cabin fever party was truly amazing. we took a ton of pictures and there are a bunch on facebook, so look there for more evidence of this party's gloriousness.

meet gordon. we have decided to never give him back to andrea's uncle.

we liked having gordon in the kitchen so much that we decided to put the love seat under him and moved the kitchen table into the living room. it is quite adorable and i never want to leave my cute apartment ever again.

so, the party was a huge success. there were so many people there it was hard to move at one point. good food, good games, good music and good people. what more could you ask for?

i am having a cabin fever party tonight that you wouldn't want to miss out on.

this guy just can't take no for an answer and i am pretty sure he put a roofie in her drink. this song is about date rape. i hardly think that captures the essence of christmas.

i still like it though.

i'm not ashamed to admit it.

maybe i stalk people's weddings and maybe i have my own wedding planned and maybe i will not be getting married any time in the near future.

okay, all of the above statements are true and i am not ashamed to admit it, i love weddings. i love everything about them and my favorite part of course, is the dress.

as of late, i have decided that i want to look like a greek goddess on my wedding day. i love really flowy gowns and here are some of the ones i love.

and over at jcrew i love this one and this one and this one. i also love all their bridesmaid dresses and how they all come in the same colors so you can have all your bridesmaids in different dresses but all the same color. so cute.

then today i was blog stalking and came upon this precious little number. how incredibly cute is this dress?
i love the vintage feel and simplicity of it and guess what? it is already modest and you don't have to add sleeves or anything. perfection. the only downside to a shorter dress is that you have to wear heels so your legs look good and i hate wearing heels. especially all day. the dress is from saja wedding. all their dresses are beautiful and somewhat moderately priced, at least compared to all the ones on say yes to the dress.

i keep having this re-occurring dream about my wedding and every time i have a vintage dress. that dream is weird though, i never know the guy i am marrying and have this dilemma of whether or not to marry him anyway because he is a great guy. maybe it means that i am going to have a vintage wedding dress. i certainly hope it is not foreshadowing me realizing the day of my wedding that i don't know the person i am marrying. that would definitely not be ideal.

contrary to how this post may appear, i am not one of those typical marriage obsessed provo girls. i just like weddings.
